On the day he picked up a new award, Ansu Fati revealed his ultimate dream for 2021 as a professional footballer. It’s not impossible.

While Ansu Fati still recovers from a nasty knee injury he suffered before the end of 2020, he has big plans for 2021. Playing at FC Barcelona, Fati had the chance that very few footballers get when they begin their respective careers. He got to showcase his skills at one of the best football clubs in the world next to unreal players. As he kept delivering through his talent, Fati quickly became a fan favorite amongst Blaugrana supporters.

Even though he is currently in that recovery process, this kid still left a great impression on everybody. Today, NXGN granted him recognition as the best young footballer in the world. He made a first place on a Top 50 list filled with incredible talents in world football. The reason for that is that Fati made some giant leaps as a young professional in a short period of time. While he was still 15 years old, he was already playing some impressive football at the biggest stages.

Fati’s ambitious dreams for next summer.

Although he still needs to recover completely from the knee injury he suffered, this doesn’t take any dreams away from his head. Ansu Fati wants to get a chance to play his first major tournament with the Spain National Team. As we all know, the European Championship will take place this summer. It’s only natural that Fati’s big plan involves playing this tournament: “First of all, I want to thank the people who have voted for me and, of course, my team-mates – without them, this would not have been possible,” he told Goal.

“Also, thanks to all the coaches I have had. I hope I can be [at Euro 2020], but first I have to recover from the injury. I don’t know what will happen in the future, but it is a dream for any player to be able to play a European Championship. I don’t set goals, but I do try to improve day by day, growing as a player, and as a person.”
