Louis Saha has urged Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti to step up his pursuit of wantaway Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha has already informed the Crystal Palace hierarchy of his desire to leave the club in the summer.

The news of the Ivory Coast international’s ambition to join a more prominent side has put the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, and Borussia Dortmund on red alert.

Arsenal, who were close to signing the lightning-quick winger last summer, have also rekindled their interest in one of the most highly-rated attackers in the Premier League.

However, Everton have identified Zaha as a potential marquee summer signing, as Carlo Ancelotti hopes to assemble a competitive roster.

The Toffees finished the 2019/20 Premier League campaign in a disappointing 12th place, and Ancelotti looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.

Former Everton hero Louis Saha has now backed the renowned Italian tactician to accelerate his interest in the ex-Manchester United flop.

“Wilfried Zaha is a player who is capable of playing everywhere, he’s such a good player,” Saha said, as relayed by the Express Sport.

“He’s improved a lot since being back at Crystal Palace. Everton is a club that offers the perfect environment for good players who want to reach another level.

“If you want to improve your game, the foundations are there at Everton for you to achieve this.

“When I joined Everton, I found players and staff around me who had a desire to win trophies and improve the club’s infrastructure.

“I think Zaha would feel the same way if he joined Everton.”

After failing to force his way out of Crystal Palace last summer, Zaha endured an utterly underwhelming season at Selhurst Park, clocking up four goals and three assists last term.
