The Real Madrid boss says Vinicius will remain on the left-hand side of the Blancos final third.
Vinicius has enjoyed incredible form at Real Madrid this season, establishing himself as a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti.
The Brazilian winger has formed a deadly duo with Karim Benzema, constantly getting involved in his side’s attacks. With Real Madrid eyeing a move for Kylian Mbappe, many observers have raised questions on Vinicuis’ future at left-wing.
However, Ancelotti says the Brazil international will stay in the position, regardless of the new additions to the squad.
When asked about Mbappe’s arrival and its potential effect on Vinicius’ position, Ancelotti responded (via Mundo Deportivo): “Vini is a player who has to be on the left, and he’s going to play there no matter who his teammates are.”
Mbappe has continued his great form this season, keeping his numbers high despite Lionel Messi’s arrival at PSG. Real Madrid hope to secure a move for the Frenchman, who is spending the last months of his PSG contract.
The upcoming January transfer window is PSG’s last chance to receive a transfer fee for Mbappe. The France international has rejected the club’s offers for renewal and will most likely join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
