With his performance against Arsenal, Diogo Jota just made Jurgen Klopp’s job easier ahead of next week’s match vs Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp was uncertain about one detail before facing Real Madrid and Diogo Jota just helped him make a decision. Today was Roberto Firmino’s final chance to let the gaffer know if he is ready to start against Los Blancos. Liverpool face Zinedine Zidane’s squad in the first of two legs next week at Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium. It’s the only chance the Reds have to still pick up some silverware this season.

They already lost any chances of winning the Premier League and got eliminated in the other two tournaments. Several injuries prevented the squad from trying to defend the title they just won last season, but they seem to be slowly recovering. Keep in mind this Liverpool side is still one of the most powerful football clubs in the world, as long as they have most of their players. Today’s tactical approach gave us a great idea of how the Reds could form against Los Blancos next week.

Jota was Klopp’s only doubt.

With Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho in midfield, Jurgen Klopp found his ideal duo to face one of the best midfield duos in the world. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are still playing at an insane level, which is why Klopp needed his best starting eleven today. Only Bobby doesn’t seem fit enough to play at the highest level, but Diogo Jota was there to save the day.

If Klopp starts with Mane, Salah, and Jota next week. He will have a great chance to win the first of two legs in the Champions League. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been Firmino’s campaign as he could leave his club by the end of the season. Some players simply end their run with their current club and they feel the need for a new challenge. Perhaps Bobby would like a fresh start somewhere else after winning everything at Liverpool.
