Davies has attracted interest from several elite sides since his contract negotiations with Bayern have stalled.
Real Madrid have shown interest in signing Alphonso Davies, according to the Canadian star’s agent.
Bayern Munich started their negotiations with Davies’ camp earlier this year when Hasan Salihamidzic was still in charge of the club’s transfers.
However, talks have been put on hold since Salihamidzic’s sacking at the end of the last campaign. Davies’ agent, Nedal Huoseh, has confirmed the newly-appointed officials of Bayern are yet to get in touch over a possible contract extension.
“It was a bit chaotic at Bayern because things were changing within the club,” the agent told 365Scores. “We were clear about how we were going to move forward, but no one came to us and said this or that was happening, so we just let things take their course.”
Davies’ current contract runs until June 2025. Given the Canadian’s crucial role in Bayern’s lineup, the club will most likely restart their efforts to extend his contract in the coming months.
Real Madrid, who’ve been linked with a move for Davies since last year, could intensify their efforts to sign him when he enters the final year of his deal next summer.
Asked about the Spanish side’s interest in signing Davies, Nedal replied: “There is interest from many teams. I’m sure that Real Madrid could be one of the clubs that would like to sign Davies.
“There are several Premier League clubs too, they all want to have one of the best left-backs in the world. We’ll see what happens.”
