At the post-match conference after a win over Fiorentina, Massimiliano Allegri provided injury updates on four Juventus stars.
Massimiliano Allegri delivered injury updates on three of Juventus’ key players after their 1-0 win against Fiorentina on Saturday.
Bianconeri harvested all three points at the Allianz Stadium, courtesy of an injury-time strike from Juan Cuadrado. Regardless of their win, Allegri urged the team to focus on what went wrong in their previous two defeats in Serie A.
At the post-match press conference, the 54-year-old tactician said: “I think we’ve thrown at least seven points away.”
“We must be angry because a team that wants to win all games must come through these matches. Otherwise, you can win or lose against anyone. We must think about it and perhaps we could turn into a team again.”
Who are injured?
Juventus was found playing without key players Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, and Wojciech Szczesny. The Italian head coach provided the explanation for the absence of his players.
“Szczesny fell on a ball yesterday, he could not stretch, so he could not make saves,” Allegri revealed.
“Chiellini has had a flexor or adductor problem. I left him out precautionary. Bonucci had a problem before the game, but he was already supposed to rest against Verona.
Moreover, Alex Sandro was also replaced during halftime due to an injury. On that, he said: “Alex Sandro had an adductor problem while Moise Kean will be ready after the break.”
