The Portuguese superstar secured a return back to Old Trafford on the last day of the summer transfer window.

Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Juventus after spending three years at the club. Juventus are slowly recovering from the departure of the Portuguese star, but Massimiliano Allegri believes everything could have gone smoother if the transfer had been completed earlier.

“It’s normal that on August 28, three days before the end of the transfer market, you don’t have the possibility to replace him.” the Italian manager told DAZN. “The club did well to get Kean, a player who scored important goals and I’m happy.

“If he had left a month earlier, perhaps the club would have had the opportunity to work in a different way. It’s just a question of the market, it hasn’t created any problems.”

Juventus suffered a 2-1 defeat against Sassuolo on Wednesday, continuing to struggle on their way up the Serie A table.

The Bianconeri will face Verona in their next Serie A game on Saturday as they sit seventh in the Italian top-flight.
