Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker insists the club have renewed hunger to do even more despite their recent title triumphs.
Liverpool might have won the Premier League last season but that hasn’t changed their mentality. This is according to Alisson Becker.
The goalkeeper has more than impressed for the Reds since he joined from Roma in the summer of 2018.
Alongside Virgil van Dijk, Alisson helped transform Liverpool to title challengers. Since that time, the Reds have gone on to conquer Europe and just recently ended their 30-year domestic wait.
Despite all of the club’s recent success, the Brazilian goalkeeper insists they will keep fighting to do even achieve even better laurels. Surely, there is more to come from Liverpool.
“I think every year our strengths are renewing. The great feeling from winning things gives you the desire to win again, everything,” he said to the club’s website.
“We’ve won the Champions League and we will go for that again; we’ve won the Premier League and we will go for that again.”
“We’ve done amazing things in the last two seasons and I am looking forward to what we can do in the next one. I am really thankful to God for what happened so far, but I believe there are many great things to come for us.”
Rather than look to defend their Premier League crown next season, Jurgen Klopp claimed Liverpool will ‘attack’ to win it again. Alisson agrees with that.
“Definitely, 100 per cent I agree with him.”
“It was the way we won the title – by attacking it. If you want to defend it, we have to attack it again. We will prepare for that, we will be on our toes when we are back in action.”
