Trent Alexander-Arnold is overjoyed after achieving a prestigious individual accolade won by several Premier League greats over the years.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was one of the key contributors to Liverpool’s historic title-winning campaign, having direct involvement in 17 of their 85 Premier League goals.

Alexander-Arnold’s efforts did not go unnoticed as he was recently named the PFA Young Player of the Year for 2019/20.

Chelsea pair Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, Manchester United duo Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka were the players he beat to take home the award.

The fullback had already established himself as one of the best, if not the best, in the world at present and the personal achievement only enhanced his reputation.

Set-piece specialty, high work-rate, pinpoint crossing ability, and the proficiency at occupying attacking spaces are some of the traits that make the 21-year old a deadly weapon in Jurgen Klopp’s arsenal.

“[It’s] one of the biggest for me so far on a personal note, probably the biggest,” a delighted TAA, as he is affectionately called by the fans, told the club’s official website after receiving the award.

“[There are] massive names, some of the best that have ever played in the Premier League, undoubtedly a lot of Premier League legends on there. So, that’s obviously something I want to try to achieve. To be a part of the names that are on here is massive for me.

“It’s huge for me to achieve this and it’s something I’ll never forget.”
