Despite being compared to Real Madrid club legend Sergio Ramos, David Alaba feels no pressure at Santiago Bernabeu.
David Alaba insists that comparing him to Real Madrid icon Sergio Ramos will not affect him in any way.
During this summer, the defender moved to the Spanish capital after marking his legacy in Bayern Munich. Simultaneously, Ramos joined Paris Saint-Germain after seeing his contract expire at Santiago Bernabeu.
Since the club legend’s departure, the control of the defensive unit has been handed out to Alaba alongside Eder Militao.
There have been comparisons between Alaba and Ramos, who spent 16 years with Blancos and lifted fice La Liga and four Champions League titles.
However, the Austrian is not bothered with such discussions and feels that both have different playing styles.
“I came here to write my own story and play my game. I get the comparisons every now and then, but I don’t really bother with them,” he said to Kicker.
“People accept that I’m here now and play my football, want to write my story with Real. We are also different types of players who can hardly be compared with one another.”
