Adams has attracted interest from a number of elite clubs after his brilliant start to the new season.
Akor Adams has scored a total of 22 goals so far this season, more than any other player in the European leagues.
Before moving to Ligue 1 side Montpellier in the summer transfer window, Adams scored 15 goals in 15 league appearances for Norwegian club Lillestrom. The Nigerian star’s fantastic run has continued in France, where he has already registered seven goals in 11 matches for Montpellier.
Adams has already appeared on AC Milan’s radar in recent months, with the Italian giants already considering a move for the 23-year-old.
According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri are keen to add a younger striker to their ranks despite Olivier Giroud’s solid form this season. Reports from other Italian sources claim that Milan could initiate talks to sign Adams as soon as this January.
A product of Jamba Football Academy in Nigeria, Adams started his European career with a move to the Norwegian side Sogndal in 2018. It took the young striker four years to secure a free move to Lillestrom, where his performances convinced Montpellier to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Let’s see if Adams’ impressive run of form will convince Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro to call him up for the upcoming AFCON 2023 games.
