Erik ten Hag’s men crushed Heerenveen to claim Ajax’s 36th league title.
Ajax defeated Heerenveen 5-0 in their Eredivisie game on Wednesday. The Amsterdam side became the Dutch champions by displaying another brilliant attacking performance.

Following PSV’s 2-2 draw against Feyenoord, Ajax came into the game knowing a victory would win them the title.
Ten Hag’s side started off by controlling the possession early on. Following a few half-chances, Nicolas Tagliafico opened the scoring for the hosts in the 19th minute.
A stunning piece of buildup play led to Ajax’s second goal 14 minutes later, with Steven Berghuis adding his name to the scoreline.
Sebastian Haller then converted a penalty to seal Ajax’s win by making it 3-0 before the interval. Ajax, however, did not stop their attacks in the second period.
Making his tenth appearance of the campaign for Ten Hag’s side, youngster Brian Brobbey took his total goal tally to six by increasing his side’s lead in the 85th minute. Edson Alvares then went on to put the icing on the cake for Ajax to make it 5-0 in the 90th minute.
What’s next for the Eredivisie champions?
Ajax won their 36th league title by beating Heerenveen, with Eric ten Hag lifting his third Eredivisie trophy at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Before leaving the club to join Manchester United, Ten Hag will lead the Amsterdammers to their last game of the campaign against Vitesse.
