The Blaugrana have released a medical statement on the fitness of thee of their stars head of their Joan Gamper Trophy match.

Sergio Aguero and Clement Lenglet will play no part in Barcelona’s upcoming Joan Gamper Trophy clash with Juventus due to injury.

Philippe Coutinho, who missed a large chunk of the 2020-21 season, on the other hand, is in contention to feature in the club’s final pre-season outing.

Aguero was in line to make his Barca debut on Monday after joining the club on a free transfer from Manchester City earlier this summer, but it appears he might have to wait a little longer.

“The French defender has a tendon problem in his right knee and is ruled out, with his return depending on his recovery.

“The Argentine striker has a right calf injury and will undergo more tests to find out the exact extent of the injury.”
