It appears Alessandro Bastoni has full intentions to stay put at Inter and even commit to a new deal, says agent Tullio Tinti.
Agent Tullio Tinti said Italy international Alessandro Bastoni ‘wants to stay’ at Inter and has ‘already reached an agreement’ with the club.
The young defender has played an important role in 2020-21 and helped the Nerazzurri secure their first Scudetto in 11 years.
However, a host of European giants are already on the lookout for the Italian who has just two years left on his contract.
In what would come as good news for the Nerazzurri, Tinti confirmed the imminent renewal of Bastoni and his intentions of staying at San Siro.
“I have already reached an agreement with [CEO Beppe] Marotta and [sporting director Piero] Ausilio for some time to renew the contract, now we are waiting for answers from the owners,” Tinti told Calciomercato.
“The player wants to stay at Inter, he’s a fan of the club. The agreement has not been completed because the ownership, up to now, has been absent.
“President [Steven] Zhang returned to Milan precisely to clarify everything.”
The agent reveals coach Antonio Conte has played an important part in the growth of Bastoni.
“He has many merits,” the agent said about the Inter coach. “But Conte did so for all of Inter, of which he was the leader.
“After the years at Parma, he said he wanted to keep him at Inter, because he believed in him. [Parma coach Roberto] D’Aversa, his friend, had spoken well of him, saying that he was a lad with a great future and great prospects.”
