Ace Football looks at the full list of African players in the Premier League, with nations such as Nigeria & Ivory Coast making the cut.

Seeing African players in Premier League action is becoming a more common trend. Legends like Didier Drogba and Jay-Jay Okocha came from the continent and did wonders, inspiring countless youngsters to follow in their footsteps.

To date, there are 52 players registered under an African nation on the Premier League’s official site. Only two of the 20 clubs in the English top flight don’t have a player from the continent.

Nottingham Forest have the most African players in Premier League football as of October 2023, with seven players from the continent. Sheffield United, Manchester United, West Ham, and Brighton follow with four players each.

Out of the 20 Premier League clubs, Newcastle United are the only team without any African players. Manchester CIty don’t have any African players in their first-team squad, but do have Issa Kabore, who is on loan at Luton Town.
