The Black Stars have named 55 players in their preliminary squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament in the Ivory Coast.

Ghana have chosen their initial team for the 2023 AFCON competition.

Five players from the Premier League have made the list in Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), Thomas Partey (Arsenal), Mohamed Kudas (West Ham), Tariq Lamptey (Brighton), and Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth).

Athletic Club star Inaki Williams is another notable name on the list. Michael Baidoo, who had a brilliant season at Swedish team Elfsborg, also made the cut, as did Ludogorets forward Bernard Tekpetey.

Manager Chris Hughton will finalize his final selection by the beginning of the new year.

Ghana are in Group B of the AFCON tournament, alongside Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique. They will first play Cape Verde on January 14 in Abidjan.
