AFCON 2021: How many matches will Salah & Mane miss for Liverpool?

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are set to miss an ample amount of games for Liverpool due to their participation in AFCON 2021.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been fundamental for Jurgen Klopp once again as Liverpool continue their fight for the Premier League crown this season. However, the Reds will have to manage without their top superstars as AFCON 2021 will begin early next year.

The Africa Cup of Nations is set to commence on January 9 until February 6, 2022, in Cameroon. Salah and Mane will have to travel to their respective countries (Egypt and Senegal) in order to carry out initial training sessions.

So, let’s have a look at how many fixtures will the two stars miss for Liverpool while on national duty.

How many matches will Salah and Mane miss for Liverpool?

Both strikers could be absent for up to seven games for Klopp’s side across all competitions. This is if their respective countries make it to the finals of the AFCON.
