Karim Adeyemi has attracted interest from several top clubs, but he is on the verge of returning to Germany.

The race to sign Karim Adeyemi started earlier this season. As the German forward continued his incredible performances for Salzburg, several clubs competed to secure his signature.

However, the race seems to have finally found its winner. According to GOAL, Borussia Dortmund are the favourites to sign the teenager.

Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in the 18-year-old. However, he has reportedly made his decision to join the Black and Yellows.

According to German outlet Bild, Adeyemi has already reached a verbal agreement with the German side. The club have reportedly convinced the player’s representatives by offering a persuasive development project.

In case of a Dortmund move, Adeyemi will follow the footsteps of Erling Haaland. The Norwegian star made a similar move back in January 2020, establishing himself as a top-class striker at Dortmund.

Haaland will most likely move Dortmund next summer, leaving a spot for Adeyemi to become the club’s new number nine. Bayern were also close to signing the teenage star. However, they were not able to offer regular game time to the player due to Robert Lewandowski’s presence.

The high demand for Adeyemi stems from his unique mixture of goa-scoring abilities and great technique. The 18-year-old’s numbers speak for themselves.

Since joining Salzburg in 2018, Adeyemi has featured in 77 games, scoring 25 goals and providing 18 goals. In September, he made his international debut under Hansi Flick, scoring once in his three caps for Die Mannschaft.
