The PSG star emerged as a possible replacement for Kyle Walker at Man City.
Achraf Hakimi’s agent has dismissed rumours about his client’s possible move to Manchester City.
The Moroccan defender arrived at Parc des Princes on a €68m deal in 2021. Despite PSG’s inconsistent displays in recent seasons, Hakimi has maintained fantastic form, staying as one of the best right-backs in European football.
Earlier this week, Marca claimed Man City were considering Hakimi as a target ahead of the next season. But it seems the player has decided to continue his career at PSG.
“Paris Saint-Germain is 100% on his mind, it’s our project,” told Diario AS.
“[Luis] Campos [PSG’s sporting director] has all my respect and all my confidence for the future. I think he will turn things around, from there we will see what the future holds for Achraf.”
PSG are yet to officially announce their decision to replace Christophe Galtier. The Parisians are reportedly close to signing Luis Enrique, but they are yet to make an official announcement on his arrival.
Uncertainty over the club’s project has seen a host of senior players looking for moves away from Parc des Princes. Let’s see if Luis Campos would be able to put the club in the right direction ahead of their title-defending campaign.
