The Nerazzurri move four points clear of at the top of Serie A after winning the latest Derby della Madonnina, which was hardly a contest.
.In what was a serious statement of intent, Inter cruised to a 3-0 victory over AC Milan.
Just five minutes in, Inter took the lead through Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine attacker, unmarked, rose the highest to meet Romelu Lukaku‘s peach of a cross and headed home from close range.
The Nerazzurri started the second half just as they did the first one, finding the net only seven minutes after the break – and yet again it was Martinez. Again, it all started with Lukaku as he fed onrushing Achraf Hakimi. A couple of passes later, the ball lands inside the back with a simple tap-in from Martinez.
At minute 66, Lukaku capped off his brilliant performance with a goal, smashing the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma at the near post after running at the heart of the Milan defense.
A fair share of Inter’s dominating win goes to Samir Handanovic who made some crucial saved in both halves to keep the opponents from scoring.
Inter are now four points clear of AC Milan, who were the leaders until the last week, at the top of the Serie A standings.
