AC Milan are reportedly hoping to hijack Inter Milan’s efforts to hire in-demand Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali.
Despite his young age, Tonali was probably the only shining light in an otherwise disastrous top-flight season for Brescia, captaining his side through thick and thin.

Tonali’s maiden Serie A campaign has shown the midfielder is a star in the making, with a host of Europe’s prominent clubs expressing their interest in the Brescia homegrown starlet.
Inter Milan seemed to have been rapidly approaching to capturing the 20-year-old’s services, but their city rivals are now looking to pray the Italian away from their grasp.
According to MilanNews, Milan are looking to throw Tonali’s prospective move to the Nerazzurri into the corridor of uncertainty.
It is understood that Stefano Pioli specifically requested two midfielders to be brought in this summer, with the Lodi native named one of them.
The Rossoneri are in the process of finalizing a loan deal for Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko, but the sought-after deep-lying playmaker would be the icing on the cake.
Inter have so far been reluctant to pounce for the Italy international after being quoted €50million for Tonali’s signature.
Meanwhile, Milan have devised a plan to kick arch-rivals out of the race by offering Brescia president Massimo Cellino €10million for a 12-month loan with an option to sign the teenager permanent for €25-35million.
