AC Milan are reportedly on the verge of announcing the signings of Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko and Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz.
According to well-trusted Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio [via MilanLive], AC Milan will announce the signings of Bakayoko and Brahim Diaz in the coming days.
The Rossoneri have been working around the clock to secure the Frenchman’s return to the San Siro ever since Frank Lampard cast him off his plans for the future.
Bakayoko has never managed to live up to the £40million Chelsea dished out to sign from Monaco in 2017.
Yet, the 26-year-old box-to-box midfielder enjoyed a stellar loan spell in Lombardy through and through back in 2018/19 and has been keen to return ever since.
Milan are now close to fulfilling his wish as they are set to announce his loan signing with an option to buy.
In addition to Bakayoko, the Real Madrid prodigy Brahim Diaz is also a step away from completing his move to Italy, with the same formula applying to his deal.
The 21-year-old Spaniard has failed to impose his qualities on Zinedine Zidane since joining Los Blancos from Manchester City in January 2016.
After registering just six La Liga appearances last term, it’s become clear that Diaz is at the Santiago Bernabeu on borrowed time.
The youngster is expected to replace Giacomo Bonaventura and play understudy to first-choice playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu in Stefano Pioli’s set-up.
