It’s time to take a look at the AC Milan vs AS Roma player ratings in the most interesting Serie A match of the recent weekend fixture.

The most interesting match of a new Serie A weekend was upon us between AC Milan and AS Roma, a game that took place in San Siro. Led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Rossoneri were willing to attempt extending their unbeaten run and stay as the only European club with no defeats this season.

The Swedish striker responded to this challenge early in the first half after a brilliant assist from Leao. A little over ten minutes after Ibra’s goal, Edin Dzeko responded with a header during a corner kick for AS Roma’s equalizer. It was evident we had a great game in our hands.

Right after the break, Leao confirmed he is in great shape after another brilliant assist provided to Saelemaekers for his side’s second goal. But this beautiful game was stained by referee Piero Giacomelli. He saw two non-existent penalties on both sides that left AC Milan with a momentary 3-2 victory during the second half.

Zlatan goes from hero to zero in a flash.

After scoring AC Milan’s third goal from the spot, Zlatan Ibrahimovic believed he would get another three points for his side in a complicated game. However, he didn’t expect to be the reason the Roman squad tied the game. It all happened during a corner kick for AS Roma, one that Zlatan attempted to reject.

In his attempt to deflect the ball, he assisted Kumbulla for another equalizer that left the final result in a draw. Ibrahimovic knew he blew his chance to get this important victory for the Rossoneri. He did score two goals but he also made a ghastly mistake against his own teammates. This result still leaves AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table with 13 points.
