Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milano was the place where AC Milan played against Crvena Zvezda this evening. We got player ratings.

After the first-leg draw between AC Milan and Crvena Zvezda in Serbia, the Rossoneri had their chance to play the return leg at home. The Europa League continued today with the final matches of an exciting round of 32 in the competition. Coach Dejan Stankovic was especially invested on this knock-out stage due to his Nerazzurri past. His intention was to take advantage of the recent level drop that AC Milan is going through, but it wouldn’t be easy.

The first half gave us one goal per side. Kessie scored the opening goal after a penalty was awarded in AC Milan’s favor. Nabouhane scored the equalizer before the first half-hour of the match with a potent strike. If the Serbian squad wanted to have a chance to compete, they at least needed one more goal. We would have more emotions during the second half of the game.

Zlatan plays until the second half.

Due to physical issues, Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasn’t used in this match until the second half. Stefano Pioli wanted to use him to create a major impact during the match that got overly complicated for the locals. Despite coming on the pitch for the final 45 minutes, he wasn’t able to score a goal that secured AC Milan the ticket.

During the final minutes, Dejan Stankovic’s side seemed dangerous against a defensive Rossoneri squad. Even though they managed to win the stage, they won’t be able to perform against a more powerful side. If they aim to reach the final, Stefano Pioli’s players need to improve quickly. Regardless of the difficulties, AC Milan made it to the Europa League’s Round of 16.
