AC Milan are about to enter a tricky run of fixtures. Manager Stefano Pioli wants his side to put out their best in all games.

After a bright start to the season, Milan seem to have faltered of late. A run of only three wins from their last six games has seen Pioli and company lose their spot at the top of the league.

While they battle to regain their top spot at the weekend, they have the Europa League to deal with first.

Milan travel to take on Red Star Belgrade on Thursday before a big Derby della Madonnina against rivals Inter at the weekend.

The game against Inter could play a big part in the Serie A title race, and all eyes will be eager to see what becomes of that one.

Milan might be favorites against Red Star Belgrade, but Pioli wants his side to be at their best regardless and respect their opponents.

“We must have the utmost attention on Red Star,” Pioli said at a press conference.

“We are happy to return to play in Europe.”

“The team must feel the sensations, the joy, the enthusiasm we had 139 days ago against Rio Ave. We want to be a surprise in this competition.”

“We are satisfied with our path and we must maintain the utmost humility but also the awareness of our means.”

“An intense period begins, decisive for the championship and the Europa League. We must always try to play our best. Starting with tomorrow.”
