Hope of getting back to winning ways for Real Madrid, a showdown at King Power Stadium, and a quest for a perfect record for Andrea Pirlo.

The 2020/21 season will be finally seen in full flow as each of the teams across each of Europe’s top five leagues would have played at least one match in their respective league campaigns by the end of the upcoming weekend.

La Liga’s opening day brought a few surprises. Real Madrid perhaps not got the start they would have hoped for as they were held to a draw away from home.

As for Serie A, Andrea Pirlo had a firing start to his managerial career at Juventus as his side emerged 3-0 victorious in their first league match.

In the Premier League, meanwhile, the previous round saw Manchester City become the latest team to start their season with a 3-1 win.

The three aforementioned teams will get to action once again on this weekend in their respective leagues and without further ado, here’s a quick rundown of what should be the 3 most entertaining fixtures of this weekend:

1. Real Betis vs Real Madrid

Los Beticos have impressed in their first two matches of La Liga 2020/21, collecting three points back-to-back against Deportivo Alaves and Real Valladolid.

However, the third time might not be a charm for Manuel Pellegrini’s men as they prepare to host a win-hungry Real Madrid on Saturday night.

The titleholders, meanwhile, who shipped off Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez to the Premier League, have found goals hard to come by.

Zinedine Zidane’s men go into the match as favorites, but not really as very strong ones.

2. AS Roma vs Juventus

All eyes will be at Stadio Olimpico as two of the league’s heavyweights go head to head on Sunday.

Champions Juventus will do everything in their might to return with three points and overtake Genoa as league leaders. Roma, on the other hand, will look to bounce back after sharing points in their last match.

The presence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has picked up from right where he left off last season, tips the scales in the favor of the Bianconeri.

3. Manchester City vs Leicester City

Leicester City currently stand atop the league table with two wins from two and an impressive seven goals scored, and clearly they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

However, they will have a much bigger fish to fry when they travel to Etihad to face Manchester City on Sunday.

After being humiliated by Liverpool in the last season, Pep Guardiola’s men will strive to not let their guards down in this campaign and look to avoid any early slip-ups.
