After failing to make an appearance in Arsenal’s previous friendly, Folarin Balogun’s future has been thrown into further doubt.
Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun trained separately from the squad during Monday’s session in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old striker worked with an individual coach, away from the rest of the first team, as stated by The Athletic.
Left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko also trained away from the squad as he recovers from a calf injury.
Balogun, who has a contract until June 2025, faces an uncertain future. He spent last season on loan at Reims, scoring 22 goals for the Ligue 1 club. His performances have stirred interest, leaving Arsenal with a difficult decision to make – do they sell or keep him?
The USA international has said he has no desire to go out on loan again. Various reports have linked him with a switch to Serie A side Inter Milan. Arsenal, though, are reportedly looking for £50 million to sell him.
Although Balogun was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s friendly with Manchester United on Saturday, he featured against the MLS All-Stars in Washington last week.
The Gunners return to action on Wednesday for a friendly against FC Barcelona in Los Angeles.
