The Cameroonian goalkeeper has recently returned to football from a nine-month doping ban.
Andre Onana is set to depart Ajax in the summer on a free transfer to join Inter Milan.
The 25-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract in the Netherlands. Therefore, he can sign a pre-contract agreement to join a foreign club for next season as a free agent.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter have confirmed their intention to sign Onana to Ajax. The former Barcelona U-19 goalkeeper verbally agreed to join the Serie A outfit last June and he is ‘100%’ committed to completing the move.
Sky Sport Italia has added that Cameroon granted Onana permission to travel to Milan on Tuesday (as seen in the image below) so he can undergo a medical and finalize his move before joining the AFCON squad.

What’s included in Onana’s new contract?
Various reports have claimed Onana, who returned from a nine-month doping ban in November, will sign a five-year contract to tie himself down at San Siro until June 2027.
The Cameroon international could earn around €3 million per season as part of the deal.
He is expected to replace Inter’s current No.1 goalkeeper and captain Samir Handanovic, who remains undecided over his future. The 37-year-old Slovenian’s contract ends this summer.
