Manchester United bekræfter her til aften, at man har solgt Chris Smalling til AS Roma og dermed gjort sidste sæsons lejeaftale permanent

I sidste sæson var Chris Smalling udlejet fra Manchester United til AS Roma, og stopperen nød stor succes i den italienske klub.

Det har dog ikke overbevist Ole Gunnar Solskjær, som end ikke har givet Smalling en plads i sine kamptrupper indtil videre i indeværende sæson.

Derfor har det også ligget i luften, at englænderen skulle videre, og nu er det så officielt, at han forlader De Røde Djævle permanent. På Twitter bekræfter Manchester United, at han er blevet solgt til AS Roma.

After 10 years of service at Old Trafford, @ChrisSmalling has left #MUFC to join Roma on a permanent deal.

Smalling har skrevet under på en kontrakt gældende for de kommende tre sæsoner.

Ifølge Goal betaler italienerne 15 million engelske pund, hvilket svarer til 125 millioner kroner for midterforsvareren.
