The Reds reached the Carabao Cup final after a tough battle at Craven Cottage.
Liverpool drew 1-1 with Fulham in their Carabao Cup match on Wednesday. The Reds won the semi-final clash with an aggregate 3-2 result to become EFL Cup’s first finalists.
What happened?
Liverpool’s dominant start to the game paid off when Luis Diaz put them ahead in the 11th minute. The Colombian forward stopped Jarell Quansah’s brilliant assist with his chest before rushing into the box and making it 1-0 with a perfect low shot.
The goal forced Fulham to put more bodies forward as they tried to get back into the game with an equalizer. The hosts made a few serious chances before the break, but they had to wait until the 76th minute to finally make it 1-1 through Issa Diop.
Another goal from Fulham would have forced Liverpool to participate in the penalty shootouts. But the Reds maintained their control over the game and held on to their one-goal lead on aggregate to reach the Carabao Cup final.

Luis Diaz made another excellent display for Liverpool as they drew 1-1 with Fulham at Craven Cottage. In addition to scoring his side’s only goal of the night, Diaz kept Fulham at bay with his constant runs down the left flank.
