Rasmus Hojlund scored his first Premiere League goal to win the games for the Red Devils.

Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 3-2 in their Premier League game on Tuesday. A thrilling game saw the Red Devils edge out their in-form opponents with a late winner.

What happened?

Aston Villa started the game on the front foot, breaking the deadlock through John McGinn in the 21st minute. Only five minutes later, Leander Dendoncker shocked the Red Devils when he made it 2-0 with a header.

United made a few efforts to get back into the game before half-time. However, they had to wait until the 59th minute to finally get back into the game. Following a swift counter-attack, Alejandro Garnacho converted a through ball from Marcus Rashford to make it 2-1.

The Red Devils then used their momentum to score the equalizer. After a deflected cross from Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho didn’t hesitate to smash the loosely cleared ball into the right corner of the net.

Each manager made two changes before the final ten minutes, with Erik Ten Hag sending in Antony and Scott McTominay. United’s relentless push to complete their comeback finally paid off when Rasmus Hojlund scored his first goal for the Red Devils in the Premier League. John McGinn’s poor clearance on a corner cost Villa the game as Hojlund volleyed it right into the left corner of the net to make it 3-2.
