The Reds’ injury crisis worsened during a thrilling draw at Etihad.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Jota and Alisson Becker were injured during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Saturday.

Erling Haaland scored his 50th Premier League goal to put City ahead in the first half. However, Liverpool managed to salvage a point through Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s excellent low shot in the 80th minute.

The result was more than acceptable for Liverpool, who came into the game without a number of key players. However, it seems the Reds could face even more squad problems in the near future.

Speaking after the game, Klopp said: “We lost Diogo Jota with a muscle but Alisson as well — as he felt something.”

“That’s not cool at all.”

He added on Alisson: “I hope it’s not that serious, but I don’t have the answer – no clue in the moment what it is. I spoke to him and he said he only felt [it] a little bit, but we have to wait for the scan.”

Following their draw at Etihad, Liverpool prepare to face LASK in a Europa League game on Thursday. The Reds will then return to the Premier League, where they take on Fulham three days later.
