Jude Bellingham reveals how Real Madrid made him a better player

The midfielder has managed a stellar 11 goals and four assists in 13 games for Real Madrid and the English national team this season.

Jude Bellingham has credited his Real Madrid teammates and the “freedom” he has to play football his way as the reasons for his improved form.

Since his €103 million summer arrival from Borussia Dortmund, Bellingham has been the talk of the town in Madrid. He has made 13-goal contributions in 10 games for his new club, with 10 goals and three assists.

“When you are around those mentalities and quality of players every day, it takes you to a new level mentally, physically and technically,” Bellingham told Channel 4.

“I am loving football at the minute. My management at club and country are giving me [the] freedom to play it how I see it.

“I have been really working on my timing getting into the box and as I am arriving I am arriving with a big hunger.”

“This is the club I want to be at for the next 10 to 5 years of my life,” the 20-year-old midfielder added.

Bellingham continued his impressive form in England’s 3-1 win over Italy on Tuesday. He won the penalty that led to Harry Kane’s equalizing strike, before setting up Marcus Rashford for the team’s second goal. Kane added a third late on to seal the Three Lions’ spot in Euro 2024.
