The former Manchester United goalkeeper, who remains a free agent, is back in town this week.
David de Gea has returned to Manchester to sort out his house in Hale.
On Monday, De Gea arrived back in England. His return sparked speculation, as his replacement, Andre Onana, has struggled in the Manchester United goal. The Cameroonian has suffered an error-prone start to his Red Devils career, with only three clean sheets and 19 goals allowed in 11 games.
De Gea left United in the summer after a 12-year stint. The 32-year-old was on the verge of signing a new contract, but the club withdrew the offer. He has been a free agent ever since, leaving his future in a state of uncertainty.
According to the Daily Mail, the Spaniard is back in Manchester, but only for personal matters. He has not gone back to rejoin United or sign for another club. His priority is to sort out his former home in Hale.
De Gea returned to Spain in the summer to live with his wife, Edurne Garcia, and their daughter in Madrid. He remains calm over his future for now, but he may consider his options in January.
On Tuesday, De Gea was spotted watching Manchester United’s women’s team in action, attending their 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the Women’s Champions League.
