The north Londoners have wrapped up a deal for one of the most promising young talents to emerge from Croatia recently.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the acquisition of the promising young talent, Luka Vuskovic, from Croatian club Hajduk Split.

On Monday, Tottenham confirmed the deal for Vuskovic. The central defender will join the London club in 2025 on a contract until 2030.

Vuskovic, at just 16 years old, made waves in the footballing world when he debuted professionally in February 2023. He earned the distinction of being the youngest player in the HNL, Croatia’s top football league.

During his brief career, Vuskovic has amassed 11 senior appearances for Hajduk Split, even finding the back of the net once.

The talented youngster played a role in Hajduk Split’s triumph in the Croatian Cup last season. He was also a pivotal figure in the Under-19 squad’s runners-up finish to the 2022/23 UEFA Youth League.

On the international stage, Vuskovic has already earned his stripes, making five appearances and netting a goal for Croatia’s Under-17 side.

The young Croat’s arrival adds a layer of excitement to Tottenham’s future. They’ve already made a promising start under Ange Postecoglou. The new manager has overseen four wins and two draws in six Premier League games this season, elevating the club to fourth place in the standings.

Spurs will now prepare to face Liverpool at home in their upcoming Premier League clash this Saturday.
