Two Liverpool stars are in the top 10 fastest EPL players.
Dominik Szoboszlai is the third fastest player to have graced the Premier League since 2020-21.
Liverpool signed the Hungary international on a £60m deal from RB Leipzig in early July. Since then, Szoboszlai has found a solid start to his career at Anfield, establishing a regular place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup.
In addition to his clinical finishing and impressive physicality, Szoboszlai’s pace has helped him have a smooth transition into the Premier League.
According to the latest data from Opta, Szoboszlai is the third fastest player in EPL since the start of the 2020-21 campaign. With an incredible max speed of 36.76 km/h, he is only outpaced by Luton Town’s Chiedozie Ogbene and Manchester City’s Kyle Walker.
Szoboszlai’s new record is significantly higher than what UEFA reported in their technical report for the 2022-23 Champions League season. There, Szoboszlai’s top speed was recorded at 35.9km/h.
