The Red Devils are searching the market for a new left-back.
Nicolas Tagliafico is reportedly keen to join Manchester United from Lyon in the remaining days of the transfer window.
Man Utd have started the season with a number of injuries in their squad. Luke Shaw is out of United’s squad with a serious injury that could keep him out for around two months.
The Red Devils have already started searching for a replacement, with Tagliafico emerging as one of their targets.
According to TYC Sports, United are “advancing” in their negotiations for the Lyon defender. The Red Devils are reportedly keen to sign the 30-year-old on a loan deal.
Another report from Football Transfers claims the former Ajax star is pushing for a move to Old Trafford. After a successful spell under Erik ten Hag, the Argentine defender is eager to reunite with his former boss.
Man Utd have also shown interest in signing Marc Cucurella from Chelsea as another option to replace Shaw. However, the Blues seem reluctant to sell the Spaniard. On Monday, Mauricio Pochttino insisted that Cucurella is in Chelsea’s squad for their EFL Cup match against Wimbledon.
In addition to Shaw, Rasmus Hojlund, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, and Mason Mount are out of United’s squad with injuries.
Ten Hag’s men will travel to London to meet Arsenal in their next Premier League clash this weekend.
