Around halfway into his eight-month Premier League ban, Ivan Toney has opened up about two major clubs he would possibly consider joining.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has hinted he would be open to transfers to either Liverpool or Arsenal in the future.

In an interview on ‘The Diary Of A CEO‘ podcast, Toney expressed his desire to play for a top-tier team, but he insisted the transfer rumors do not faze him.

While that may be the case, there are two clubs that have caught his eye. One is Liverpool, a team Toney has always supported, and Arsenal, whose playstyle and passionate fanbase he enjoys watching.

“The next club I go to, if I was to move, would be the right club,” Toney said.

“I’ve been a Liverpool fan my whole life, but from [a] young [age] I’ve liked Arsenal. I’ve liked watching Arsenal and how they play and how passionate their fans are.

He added: “I’m a Liverpool boy at heart.”

In November 2020, the FA hit Toney with a whopping 262 charges. While the 27-year-old confessed to 232 counts, the FA banned him for eight months in May and handed out an additional fine of £50,000.

To this day, Toney still cannot train with his Brentford teammates.

The England international will have to wait until January 2023 before he can resume his Premier League career.
