As AC Milan edge closer to a deal for Noah Okafor, they are already working on a separate transfer to sign Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze.
AC Milan are pursuing a deal for Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Red and Blacks are on the verge of closing a deal for Salzburg forward Noah Okafor, but it doesn’t end there. Chukwueze is next. The winger is keen, having already accepted personal terms with Milan. It’s now up to the Italian team to agree on a transfer fee with the player’s current club, Villarreal.
Allegedly, Chukwueze could earn around €4 million per season in a five-year deal.
The 24-year-old has plied his trade at Villarreal since 2017. After coming through the youth system, he is now an integral part of the Spanish team. To date, he has made 207 appearances and made 68 goal contributions (37 goals, 31 assists).
Last season was arguably Chukwueze’s finest in the yellow jersey. The Nigerian reached double figures with 13 goals and 11 assists in 50 games across all competitions. He also scored a famous match-winning brace against Real Madrid in April.
