Brace yourself for an adrenaline-fueled start to the 2023/24 Premier League campaign. The action kicks off on Friday, August 11 with a clash between Vincent Kompany’s Burnley and defending champions Manchester City. And that’s just the beginning – the opening weekend is jam-packed with thrilling matches.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino’s debut is against Liverpool, newcomers Sheffield United take on Crystal Palace, while Luton Town make their Premier League debut against Brighton. And that’s not all – Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham also have exciting fixtures to round out the first round of games.

But that’s just the start – there are plenty of key dates to look out for as the season unfolds!

Man City vs Arsenal

The current champions, Manchester City, will face off against last season’s runners-up, Arsenal, in a highly anticipated match on October 7 at the Emirates. But the excitement doesn’t end there! The Gunners will then travel to Etihad Stadium on March 30 for another epic showdown.

When is the first north London derby?

The first north London derby of the season will go down at the Emirates Stadium on September 23. The excitement doesn’t stop there, as Arsenal will then visit Tottenham for the return fixture on April 27 – the fourth to last match of 2023/24.

When is the first Merseyside derby?

Liverpool and Everton will resume their bitter rivalry in the first Merseyside derby on October 21. The two teams will face off again on March 16 at Goodison Park.

What about the Manchester derby?

Manchester United and Manchester City will face off at the hallowed grounds of Old Trafford on October 28. The return fixture will take place at the Etihad Stadium on March 2.

The classic rivalries

Keep your calendar open for two epic games: Manchester United vs. Liverpool on December 16 and April 6. Plus, mark your calendars for when the Red Devils take on Arsenal on September 2 at the Emirates and May 11 at Old Trafford. And don’t miss the fireworks between Manchester City and Liverpool, set to face off on November 25 and March 9.

Finally, we’ve got Brighton and Crystal Palace squaring off in the M23 derby on December 23 and February 3.

What are the key dates for the 2023/24 season?

The Premier League season kicks off on August 11-13 and runs for nine months until May 19, 2024. To give players a well-deserved mid-season break, there will be a week-long rest period from January 14-20. Plus, to ease the holiday fixture congestion, there won’t be any two rounds at this time with less than 48 hours in between.

Mark your calendars for the cup finals: the Carabao Cup on February 25, the Europa League in Dublin on May 22, and the Champions League at Wembley Stadium on June 1.
