The title-chasing Citizens are looking to pull out all the stops to cut their eight-point gap to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has returned to training after a groin problem.
The 22-year-old sustained the injury in the 6-0 FA Cup win over Burnley on March 18. It caused him to miss the international break for Norway, as well as Man City’s first game back last Saturday – which ended in a 4-1 win against Liverpool.
However, as the squad prepares for Saturday’s trip to Southampton, Haaland has now returned to training.
The Norway international’s return will only bolster Man City’s attacking options. In 37 games across all competitions this season, he has scored 42 goals.
That said, Julian Alvarez, who started in the Liverpool victory, may retain his place as Pep Guardiola’s starting striker at Southampton if Haaland isn’t fit enough.
