Recent reports have linked the man Tuchel replaced at Bayern Munich with the Chelsea job.

Thomas Tuchel won’t be handing out any advice to Julian Nagelsmann about joining Chelsea as the club has changed under the new Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership.

The 49-year-old German was ousted from Stamford Bridge in September after one-and-a-half years. Graham Potter replaced him. However, 206 days later on Sunday, the Englishman met a similar fate, following a barren run of results.

As such, Nagelsmann, the coach Tuchel replaced at Bayern Munich last month, is now the reported favorite to take over in west London.

“I saw the news [of Potter’s exit] late last night. It’s awful timing as it coincided with my appointment here,” Tuchel said.

“It took me a while to distance myself from Chelsea. I really enjoyed working there and formed friendships for life. But the club has changed a lot, which has made it easier to distance myself, so it didn’t really trigger big emotions in me.

“I could not give advice [to Nagelsmann] because the club has changed.”

Reports have also linked Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino, and Ruben Amorim to the vacant managerial role at Chelsea.

Bruno Saltor will oversee Tuesday’s home league game against Liverpool as the new interim manager.
