The Citizens are closely following Arsenal on the league table.
Wayne Rooney believes Manchester City will beat Arsenal in the Premier League title race due to their experience.
The Gunners have managed to perform under pressure so far this season, staying at the top of the league table with an eight-point lead over City.
However, Rooney says they still have the most nerve-wracking part of the season ahead of them.
“I hope Arsenal do win it,” Rooney told CNN. “I think City will pip them to it.
“It’s going to be intriguing. I think because Arsenal have not been in this position for a long time, and it can be a lot of pressure to go with that.
“Once you start getting into the last 10 games of the season that’s when the real pressure starts. And so I’m really interested to see if they can sustain what they’ve been doing all season.”
Arsenal have a significantly easier schedule compared to City, who still compete in both the Champions League and the FA Cup.
The Citizens will face Liverpool in their first game after the international break. On April 11, Pep Guardiola’s men will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
