The Citizens dropped crucial points as they failed to stay at the top of the Premier League table.

Nottingham Forest held Manchester City to a shock 1-1 draw in their Premier League game on Saturday.

City opened the scoring through Bernardo Silva’s screamer in the first half but weren’t able to extend their lead. Forest then escaped the defeat with a late equalizer from Chris Wood.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola lamented his side’s lack of precision in front of the goal.

“Congratulations to Nottingham Forest, it was a brilliant performance, but we didn’t score,” the City boss said.

“We dropped points, it’s sad and disappointing, but we missed the chances.”

Defender Kyle Walker echoed his manager’s frustration over the result. City will now have to start chasing Arsenal again after leapfrogging them on Wednesday.

“First and foremost, we go to the Emirates Stadium and play the game we did, and then come here. It’s unacceptable,” He said. “If we want to compete with teams near the top we need to win.

“Every game should be treated the same – like a cup final. What can I say other than it is unacceptable?

“We have to stick together as a group. The senior members of the team put our thoughts across. That is just not acceptable.”

City will travel to Leipzig for their next Champions League game on Wednesday.
