The PSG striker is facing a race against time to return for the Bayern clash.

Kylian Mbappe returned to training on Sunday, two days before Paris Saint-Germain’s crucial match against Bayern Munich.

The French club’s initial reports predicted Mbappe would miss the Champions League match. However, the striker has recovered faster than expected.

According to L’Equipe, Mbappe took part in a training session on Sunday. However, he reportedly wasn’t fully active, as he avoided parts of the drills.

In better news for PSG, it seems that Lionel Messi has joined Marco Verratti and Presenel Kimpebe, who are all on the verge of coming back from their respective injuries.

Mbappe’s possible return will be a vital boost for PSG’s squad in their game against Bayern. However, Galtier will most likely avoid using him from the start.

The French manager has come under fire for his side’s poor results in recent matches. In Mbappe’s absence, PSG lost two crucial games this week.

The Parisians crashed out of the Coupe de France with a defeat against Marseille before losing 3-1 against Monaco on Saturday.

After hosting Bayern in the Champions League, Mbappe and co will take on Lille in their next league game on Sunday.
