The Red Devils have received a massive squad blow amid their congested schedule.
Erik ten Hag expects Manchester United to play without Antony, Scott McTominay, and Anthony Martial against Barcelona.
The Red Devils have suffered a wave of injuries at the beginning of their busy schedule in February. The mentioned trio join Christian Eriksen, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Donny van de Beek on Man Utd’s injury list.
Casemiro will also miss his side’s next two games in the Premier League due to suspension, while Lisandro Martinez will not play against Barcelona for a similar reason.
Asked whether he thinks Antony, McTominay, and Martial will return for the Barcelona clash, Ten Hag said on Friday: “I can’t say for 100 per cent, but I don’t expect it.”
In better news for Man Utd, Sancho seem to gradually find his best form after his three-month exile from the squad. The Red Devils star displayed an impressive performance when he scored for his side in their 2-2 with Leeds United.
“This is what makes this job so exciting,” Ten Hag said about Sancho. “It’s wonderful to work with young people, to get the best out of them.
“Finally, they have to do it by themselves. But sometimes they need motivation, they need interaction, they need inspiration.”
