Barcelona eye free transfer for a fourth Premier League star
The Blaugrana have a serious interest in signing Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on a free summer transfer.
The 32-year-old Germany international’s contract with Manchester City ends this season. Therefore, he can talk to non-Premier League clubs about a pre-contract agreement for 2023/24. Barcelona have turned their attention to him as N’Golo Kante nears a new Chelsea deal.

Could Maguire join West Ham on loan?
West Ham are considering a bid to sign Manchester United captain Harry Maguire on loan.
The 29-year-old defender has lost favor under Erik ten Hag this season. The Red Devils boss has only played him eight times in the Premier League, starting him in four of those games. With Wolves trying to sign Craig Dawson, West Ham may look to bring in Maguire as a temporary replacement. [Mirror]

Real Madrid & Juventus keeping tabs on Garnacho
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has not signed a new contract at the club yet.
Despite a £20,000-a-week offer on the table, Garnacho’s representatives seek more from United. Real Madrid and Juventus are keeping tabs on the situation. The 18-year-old’s current deal runs until 2024, but it has an option for the club to trigger an automatic 12-month extension. [Independent]
Arsenal make their move for Diaby
The Premier League leaders have approached Bayer Leverkusen for Moussa Diaby.
Diaby is the latest winger on Arsenal’s radar. They came close to signing Mykhailo Mudryk for a club-record fee, only to see the Shakhtar Donetsk star join Chelsea for €100 million instead. Leverkusen expect a similar transfer fee for Diaby, but don’t want to sell the 23-year-old in January. [Sky Sports]

Bayern Munich’s bid for Sommer rejected
Borussia Monchengladbach have rejected a transfer offer worth €9 million for goalkeeper Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga leaders offered Gladbach €8 million upfront and €1 million in add-ons. They want Sommer to cover for the injured Manuel Neuer. However, while the 34-year-old’s contract ends in June, Gladbach have turned down Bayern’s proposal. [Florian Plettenberg – Sky Sports]
