Rooney criticized Ronaldo’s behavior last week and labeled his former teammate as an ‘unwanted distraction’ for Man Utd.
Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested that Wayne Rooney is jealous of him.
Rooney, who played alongside CR7 in the Red Devils attack between 2004 and 2009, has said that his former teammate’s recent behavior is ‘not acceptable’ and an ‘unwanted distraction’ for the club.
“I’ve seen Roy Keane defending him?!”
“Roy wouldn’t have accepted that at all. It’s a distraction #MUFC don’t need.” ❌

The head coach of MLS side D.C. United, who is 37 like Ronaldo, made these remarks in response to the Portuguese refusing to come on as a substitute against Tottenham last month and leaving before the match had ended.
“I don’t know why he criticizes me so badly,” Ronaldo told Piers Morgan Uncensored about Rooney’s criticism.
“Probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level.
“I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him – which is true…”
Ronaldo’s bombshell interview with Morgan is set to be broadcasted in full this Thursday at 21:00 (CET).
