The Premier League leaders may look to reinforce their squad in January to keep their title challenge strong.
It is only a matter of time before Arsenal sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to ex-Tottenham defender Michael Dawson.
Despite a stellar start to the season, Mikel Arteta is expected to try to strengthen his squad in January. The Arsenal manager allegedly wants a new midfielder. Various reports have claimed that Tielemans, who is out of contract at Leicester next summer, is high on the list of targets.
“Yes, he would [be a good signing for Arsenal],” Dawson told Sky Sports about Tielemans. “They have been looking at him for a long, long time.
“He is coming to the end of his contract, so that would be a no-brainer, I think. Will they wait until the summer? That would be the only question. I think it will only be a matter of time for Tielemans.”
Arsenal enter the World Cup break with a five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners return to action on December 26 for a home match against West Ham United.
