Juventus: Allegri reacts to Paul Pogba’s extortion claims

The French midfielder has returned to the headlines with a bizarre beef with his brother.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri says he has not seen Paul Pogba since his recent extortion claims surfaced media.

Pogba returned to Juventus after a six-year spell at Manchester United. The Frenchman is yet to make his second debut for the Turin side due to an injury.

However, that hasn’t stopped him from appertaining in the headlines with a blackmailing claim.

Pogba’s lawyers say ‘an organized gang’ has targeted Pogba, attempting to extort money from the World Cup winner.

“I haven’t seen him because Injured players work train at different times,” Allegri said ahead of Juve’s match against Spezia.

He added: “At the moment Paul Pogba isn’t available, if everything goes well, from next week he’ll start running again, he is a very important player for us.”

Another new signing who suffered an injury during the pre-season was Angel Di Maria. However, Allegri says he is already back in Juventus’ squad.

“I haven’t decided on the line-up yet,” Allegri admitted. “Angel Di Maria [is] available, [but] tomorrow, I will decide on the formation. The match will be a difficult and important one. Spezia are doing good things in the league and they are a team that scores goals.”
